Corné and Twakkie are not totally kak at the Baxter

The Most Amazing Show Live, featuring Corné and Twakkie, returns to the Baxter Concert Hall stage from 16 November to 4 December, 2010, at 8.15pm nightly. The duo have worked "for months in our top-secret comedy laboratories in Kraaifontein" to bring out this latest version.
Corné and Twakkie are not totally kak at the Baxter

The smash-hit cult comedy phenomenon is back - Corné and Twakkie return with a vengeance to moer the audiences' funny bones to hell and gone. Believe it because it's true.

The ditzy duo last performed at the Baxter in 2007. The Most Amazing Show has toured extensively since then, continually venturing into uncharted territories of mad genius absurdity whilst churning out a hugely popular television show.

Terrifying life-changing experience

The live show is a terrifying life-changing experience of comic hysteria presented with their unique blend of stand-up comedy, satire and audience participation. "You will laugh till your faceballs explode. You will never be the same again," cautioned Twakkie.

"We are overjoyed to be returning to our favourite stage," said Corné. "We have been working for months in our top-secret comedy laboratories in Kraaifontein to make sure we bring the people of the Western Cape the most amazing Most Amazing Show ever. Bigger, better and funnier than ever."

Corné, aka The Love Captain or Love Doctor, promises to heal even Helen Zille's broken heart and reckons that "if you don't love this show, you are probably Julius Malema".

Like a bad 1970s' flashback

South African Info described them best by saying: "They're like a bad 1970s' flashback: mullets, insane facial hair, tight shiny shorts last worn on a high-school hockey pitch in 1974, and wonderfully mangled SA English. If you're not South African, you'll probably find them scary. If you are you'll find them scary anyway, but you'll laugh a lot too. As they would say, Corné and Twakkie are totally not kak."

The irrepressible duo combine clowning, witty semantics and a quirky sense of humour. Their insight into archetypal South African characters has resulted in personas that are both outrageous and totally believable. Believe it "cause it's true".

The Most Amazing Show Live previews at the Baxter Concert Hall on 16 November, opens 17 and runs until 4 December at 8.15pm nightly. It is not recommended for under-16s. Ticket prices are R100 (Monday to Thursday) and R120 (Friday and Saturday).
