Beatles tribute comes to Artscape in November

The international tribute and stage show Beatlemania On Tour will be on at the Artscape Theatre in Cape Town from 31 October-11 November 2018. The show features three Australian singers and one Scottish vocalist as they pay homage to the major musical hits that made The Beatles one of the most successful and influential rock groups of all time.

Beatlemania On Tour, which made its South African debut in 2010, enjoyed a successful run at Emperors Palace Casino in Johannesburg at the start of 2018, as well as a recent stint at Sibaya Casino and Entertainment World in Durban in April this year.

Cape Town audiences can expect a fresh musical experience with state-of-the-art updates to the show’s production and lighting. Revamps to the show’s huge repertoire of replica Beatles costuming have also been made.

If it's pure nostalgia you're looking for, then you won't be disappointed. All of the Beatles’ biggest and most treasured hits from the 1960s rock era will be performed live on stage - in their original key and on replica Beatles instruments - with unseen attention to detail creating the sincerest Beatles sound around.

The cast includes the talented singers Joe Kane (as Paul McCartney), Zac Coombs (as John Lennon), Brent McMullen (as George Harrison), and Ben Harper (as Ringo).

Audiences can expect to see classic Beatles hits such as Can’t Buy Me Love, All My Loving, Please Please Me, I Wanna Hold Your Hand, She Loves You, Day Tripper, Nowhere Man, Help, Yellow Submarine, Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, and Hey Jude performed throughout the two-hour spectacular.

The handsome foursome have gone the extra mile to make the show true to life and The Mother City fans of The Beatles are in for a treat says lead singer Joe Kane.

“We have never been to Cape Town with the show before so we are all looking forward to experiencing Cape Town and its audiences. Fans can expect to see ten years of musical history from the finest pop band of all time condensed into two hours of high-octane, rock and roll fun.”

With previous sold-out shows across the US, Canada, Dubai, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand under its belt, the production is looking to uphold its reputation as one of the world’s best Beatles tributes, and the show's producers are confident it will do just that.

Tickets for the Cape Town leg of the SA tour can be purchased via Computicket at either www.computicket.com or via Checkers and Shoprite retail stores countrywide.
