Marc and Michael at Miss World
The design team of Marc Glass, Michael Pokroy and Avi Muller have customised each dress to suit the contestant's personality. Using gold as their inspiration, the sexy form-fitting dresses shimmered with a chic liquid gold effect when selected Miss World contestants took to the red carpet at the Miss World event at Turbine hall on Saturday 28 November 2009.
Glass headed the creative design for these dresses. The fabrics were handpicked and sourced from abroad and then flown into South Africa to be expertly sewn by the design house's talented seamstresses in South Africa. "We are immensely proud of our couture creations which embody the qualities of the gorgeous women, from colour and texture to the neckline," says Glass.
For over 17 years, the design house has been dressing some of the most stylish woman in South Africa from its original design studio in Parkhurst, including many winning Miss SAs, selected as queen on the night in their favourite couture. The team's talent is creating the beauty without to match the beauty within.
In the build up to the most exciting year South African fashion will ever see, the design house is preparing for some exciting changes to be launched in 2010.
