Canal Walk to showcase locally-made goods with Homegrown SA

From 4 to 6 September 2020, the centre court at Canal Walk in Cape Town will be home to Homegrown SA - which is set to showcase homegrown finds including clothing, décor, plants, jewellery, furniture and more.

Says Homegrown SA organiser Miriam Vallie: “We're blown away by the talent and entrepreneurship of our handpicked exhibitors and strongly believe local creatives should be given the opportunity to introduce their products to the market. There is no better place to do so than Canal Walk.”

According to Vallie, they have carefully curated the pop-up so that there will be something for everyone. “Homegrown SA offers visitors the opportunity to get to know and support local design and craftsmanship. Whilst the product range is varied, they are all heart made with pride, lovingly displayed and sold by the owner, creative or maker.”

Vallie continues that when you support handmade, you support a person, small business, family and the economy. “You’re supporting people who create jobs. You're also purchasing a small part of an artist’s heart. Be sure not to miss Homegrown SA at Canal Walk, Centre Court,” Vallie concludes.

Homegrown SA Canal Walk will be open Friday to Sunday from 9am to 7pm. Entry is free.
