Upcoming Neighbourgoods Night Market
The Neighbourgoods Night Market, to be held at 73 Juta Street, Braamfontein on 3 November and will focus on drawing.
There will be a public Sketch Battle using overhead projectors that enable participants to create sketches in response to a theme. The sketch battle will be co-hosted by Hip-Hop scratch DJ, Themba Lunacy who will be supplying the beats while the artists compete for prizes and the love of the crowd.
There will also be a performance by award winning artist, Anthea Moys called The Portrait Exchange.
The Portrait Exchange
Fueled by the belief that everyone can draw, the performance is a game that is played between the artist Anthea Moys and any willing player who will sit opposite her. The rules are that they both have to draw each other in one minute, but are not allowed to look down at the page, putting them both at a disadvantage. Afterwards they sign and date the drawings and exchange them.

Access to the market is free. Upstairs entertainment, which is open to all ages, costs R50.
