Stand Up For Junaid fundraiser
The Cape Town Comedy Club and Marc Lottering, Stuart Taylor, Kurt Schoonraad and Nik Rabinowitz are to hold a show entitled Stand Up For Junaid to raise funds for five-year-old Junaid Arendse from Mitchells Plain at the Cape Town Comedy Club, The Pumphouse, Dock Road, V&A Waterfront on Monday, 22 June, 2015.
Junaid was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma in May 2014 and had to undergo 16 rounds of chemotherapy without many positive results. He now has Stage 4 cancer and is in and out of hospital continuously. His doctors have given him another three months to live. His last hope is a treatment called Topotecan, which is extremely costly.
The aim of the fundraiser is to raise at least three months' worth of treatment with Topetecan.
Junaid is a lively happy kid and always has a smile on his face. When he is big he wants to buy hair and become a fireman.
Doors open at 6pm, the show starts at 8.30pm. Happy Hour 6pm to 7pm and after show. Tickets are R250 available from any Computicket outlet or Shoprite, Checkers stores.
