Ozil joins Madrid

German attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil will be leaving the Bundesliga for the starting line-up of Real Madrid, for an undisclosed fee.

Ozil was one of the stars of the 2010 World Cup and was one of the key members of the German side. His previous team, Werder Bremen, is now preparing for the Champions League Qualifying match and his departure puts a dent in its attack.
"We respect that Mesut wants to go and take the next step in his career," said Weder Bremen director Klaus Allofs.

Mario Balotelli has joined Manchester City from Inter Milan. The "bad boy" of Inter is said to have had a few tiffs with fellow teammates and manager Jose Mourinho. Balotelli was always criticised by Mourinho as being a "hothead", which never sat well with the 20-year-old striker.

"I am not a bad boy. I am just a normal guy," Balotelli said.

Balotelli could make a surprise debut on Thursday for his new team when Manchester City take on Timisoara in the Europa League
