If koeks could kill

I love a good television crime drama but what if the show went one step further? What if the murderer was sitting next to you or what if the next victim was you? That is the premise of 'To Kill a Koeksister', an interactive murder mystery comedy at Cape Town's Kalk Bay Theatre until 25 January 2014.
If koeks could kill

The show begins with a murder and the audience (equipped with detective kits) has to help the lead investigator figure out who committed the crime. It is highly interactive and even requires a few people to come up on stage, much to the amusement of family and friends.

If things look like they could spiral out of control, comedian Andrew Simpson reins it in. Different audience decisions mean a different show every night, but Simpson handles the raucous unpredictability (and multiple roles) with some impressive improvisation skills. Catch him if you can!

To Kill a Koeksister is at Cape Town's Kalk Bay Theatre until 25 January. Book at www.kbt.co.za.
