World youth festival comes to Tshwane

The World Festival of Youth and Students (WFYS), organised every four years in different countries all over the world, serves as a platform for young people across the globe to discuss critical issues in order to impact the shaping of policies of government and the world. This year, the 17th festival will be hosted by South Africa, 13-21 December 2010.

The opening ceremony will take place at the Moses Moripe Stadium in Tshwane and main conference activities at the Tshwane Events Centre.

The festival is considered one of the most significant and important youth international events, because of the numbers of delegates it attracts from all over the world, the issues it raises and the impact these have in shaping policies.
