New CMO for Takealot.com

South African online retailer, Takealot.com recently appointed Declan Hollywood to be its new chief marketing officer.

Hollywood, formerly with Google in Johannesburg and Dublin, holds a Bachelor of Business Studies from Trinity College in Dublin and a Masters from the London School of Economics.

While at Google, he was industry manager for the retail portfolio, making him an ideal candidate to head up marketing for Takealot.com.

"We are super excited to have Declan on board. He has great experience that has been difficult to find in the local market," said the e-tailer's CEO Kim Reid.

Hollywood's position is effective 1 July while he's still in Dublin and will be relocating to Cape Town from mid-July.
