Cosmo hits highest figures in 15 years

Cosmopolitan magazine, published by Associated Magazines, posted its highest circulation figure for the first semester of this ABC period in 15 years (ABC January 2005 - June 2005). The publication increased its circulation by three percent over the same period last year to 118 296.

Vanessa Raphaely, editor of Cosmopolitan and editorial director for Associated Magazines, says: "We are delighted with this great result. What makes this accomplishment so exciting is that the last time we reached this circulation there weren't nearly as many competitors. In a cut-throat market Cosmo has stood its ground and grown.

"Cosmopolitan is the single girl's bible and measured by the success over the last six months, young South African women are not going to part with their favourite magazine."
