A new magazine on the block
Property seems to be the sector that's driving expansion in the magazine market at present, with another launch. Home Gallery is a fortnightly property magazine from Avalon Industries, that offers ease and convenience for people wanting to find a home or expand their property portfolio.
Greg Beadle from Avalon, says that their overall philosophy is to assist the consumer make informed decisions when it comes to property, whether buying or selling. "We also want to add value to the way Estate Agents implement their business. With home Gallery, we want to save property buyer's time and provide them with an enjoyable experience while they page through SA's only full colour, glossy format, quality property guide. During the planning stages we decided to add a concept unique to the guide - areas are indexed by colour tabs for ease of use. What's more, Home Gallery is available weekly from Friday to Friday for R7.50 per copy giving a potential buyer the opportunity to pick the homes he or she wants."
Home Gallery is a magazine for the sophisticated urban consumer who doesn't want to waste time paging through a newspaper size property section all weekend, it's a magazine for the consumer who wants ease of discovery, great photographs of homes and properties and ease of finding the right location at the right price.
Home Gallery is aimed at men and women of LSM 8 to 10 between the ages of 25 and 65. The weekly publication will initially be distributed throughout greater Johannesburg and will be available at all convenience stores, including garage forecourts, CNA, Exclusive Books and airports. Home Gallery's retail selling price is R7.50. A Home Gallery Cape edition and Home Gallery Natal edition will be available during 2005.
Initially, Home Gallery will come out fortnightly on Fridays. Weekly issues will then follow in November.
