Winners announced for 2009 Tabbie Awards
The 2009 Tabbie Awards featured just shy of 500 entries, with nominations coming from the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, France, China, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, Germany and India. Judges were once again impressed by the quality of the submissions; the results were announced on 14 July 2009.
South Africa's Vodaworld magazine won silver in the Focus/Profile Article category, and Leadership magazine was placed sixth in the Best Single Issue: Top 25 Issues category.
Highlighting the Best Single Issue category -- the competition's most comprehensive -- are entries from MOVE, JCK, and BUILDINGS, which took the Gold, Silver and Bronze awards respectively. The Top 25 of the Best Single Issue category include Corporate Event, Are You? Central, Leadership, TravelAge West, Benefits Canada, New Zealand Doctor, TED Magazine, and GPN.
Gold design award winners are Proto for Feature Design, Government Technology for Front Cover, Digital Imagery; Convenience Store News for Front Cover, Illustration; Veterinary Forum, for Front Cover, Photograph; Physicians Practice, for Front Cover, Special Issue; California Schools for Opening Page or Spread and Atlantic Business Magazine for Table of Contents.
Gold editorial award winners are 1 to 1 Magazine for Department; Exhibitor Magazine for Editor's Column; Computerworld for Feature Article; Professionally Speaking for Focus/Profile Article; Instore for How-To Article; Computerworld for News Coverage; NCAA Champion for Regular Column; Engineering News-Record for Single News Article; Network World for Special Section and Wood Design & Building for Technical Article.
This year's Best b2b Website winners are FTAdvisor.com, Network World and Architectural Record, which won the Gold, Silver and Bronze awards. In the Online Feature category, The Industry Standard, Tobacco Reporter, and Computerworld won the Gold, Silver and Bronze awards.
Magazines that took home four or more awards are BUILDINGS, Computerworld, Exhibitor Magazine, NCAA Champion, Network World, Physicians Practice, and Proto.

Presented by Trade, Association and Business Publications International (TABPI), this sixth-year editorial and design competition was open to English-language b2b publications worldwide, published at least quarterly.
