    Advantage ADmag winners announced

    Last night, Thursday, 29 March 2007, saw the cream of the crop honoured at this year’s Advantage ADmag Awards. Held at the Johannesburg Country Club in Woodmead, magazines and editors were recognised for their achievements. Presented by Advantage editor-in-chief John Farquhar, the top publications were recognised for excellence in publishing.

    “There was an overwhelming number of publications this year, but after much deliberation the judges selected deserving winners,” said Farquhar.

    “The judging criteria included editorial focus, circulation performance, visual appeal and layout and number of advertising pages sold. The judging panel set high standards this year and only those who managed to achieve the right mix made it into the winners circle.”

    Overall winners:

    Newcomer of the Year: Move!
    Magazine of the Year: Car Magazine
    Editor of the Year: Sbu Mpungose (Move!)
    Publisher of the Year: Media 24
    Best Magazine Advert in ADvantage: Real Simple
