SA dairy championships: Enter now
The aim of the SA Dairy Championships is to recognise and reward the quality of dairy products and to promote these products in marketing campaigns. This contributes significantly to promoting excellence in the dairy industry and elevates the profile of the industry amongst consumers.
In 2018, a record 945 products were entered. There were 10 categories that included more than 100 classes for end products in the processing line of the dairy industry. Winners in each of the classes are crowned South African dairy champions, whilst only products of exceptional quality receive the Qualité mark. A panel of specialists allocates the Product of the Year. The categories are cheese, butter, yoghurt, cottage cheese, ice cream, cultured and flavoured milk, dairy desserts, dairy dips, fresh and UHT milk, and cream.
The closing date for entries is 7 February 2019. Visit Cheese SA to enter online and for more information about the SA dairy championships. Judging takes place on 28 February 2019 and the Qualité Awards Dinner will be held on 29 March 2019 at Grand West in Cape Town.
