Ricoh gets FTSE4Good recognition for 10th consecutive year

The FTSE4Good Index Series has recognised Ricoh for its global corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities for the 10th consecutive year. Ricoh was recognised for its environmental management, human and labour rights, supply chain labour standards, corporate governance and countering bribery.

"Societies around the world face a number of common challenges as well as challenges specific to their local environments. Ricoh employs a number of resources and supports activities that work to resolve these issues without hindering corporate growth," said Richard Pinker, MD of Ricoh SA. "The belief that revenues come at the expense of our operating environments need not be true and people from across Ricoh's operating companies around the world contribute to realising that."

The FTSE4Good Index Series is designed to measure objectively the performance of companies that meet globally recognised corporate responsibility standards and is operated by FTSE Group, the global index and analytical solutions business. Experts in Responsible Investment Solutions (EIRIS) conducts the assessment.

A widespread market consultation process

The FTSE4Good selection criteria have been designed to reflect a broad consensus on what constitutes good corporate responsibility practice globally. Using a widespread market consultation process, the criteria are regularly revised to ensure that they continue to reflect standards of responsible business practice and developments in socially responsible investment as they evolve.
