GoodLuck, Rumspringer and Valve State come together for charity at 5 For Change 2015

The secret is officially out. Live electronic dance act, GoodLuck, will be headlining at the 2015 5 For Change annual black-tie charity event on 30 May 2015.

Off the back of a debut album that spawned a record-breaking number of number one and top ten singles in the history of South Africa, the trio - led by Producer Ben Peters, threw caution to the wind and strove to create a follow-up record that they felt could continue in the footsteps of their incredible first album.

Taking their irresistible blend of electronica, jazz and pop and creating a sound that is thoroughly their own, the band packed up their state-of-the-art Cape Town recording studio and headed into the Namibian desert to capture their second album - Creature of the Night.

Their list of achievements and conquests reads like an artists wishlist, 11 top ten radio singles, seven number one hits, five SAMA (South African Music Award) nominations, a top ten iTunes Netherlands hit with Taking It Easy and over 500 performances around the world. Yet, as their fans know, the artists who make up GoodLuck - Juliet Harding (lyricist and vocalist), Raiven Hansmann (keys and sax) and Ben Peters (producer, sampling and percussion) - are too down to earth to let the enormity of their success change who they are. As they put it, "We are the nerds of the music industry!", living out the adventure of their lives it seems hard pressed that such a moniker should be fitting to describe this phenomenal band, but their humility and approachability makes it surprisingly apt.

Now Ben, Jules and Raiven are set to take things a step further by challenging audiences from around the world to take interest in a modern sound that is being hailed as truly African with the ability to cross over internationally. Never ones to follow the norm, GoodLuck are set to continue trailblazing around the world one high octane performance at a time and we look forward to having them at 5 For Change!

Joining GoodLuck is Rumspringer, a "get-up and have-it" band with deep electro beats, a tinge of Balkan and a frontline of brass. This hot band consists of Carla Louw on vocals, with Lee "Lips" Thompson on trumpet, Simon Bates on sax and Andrew F playing the big backbeats.

Rumspringer was conceived by "The Sunroom"... Mr Hutton and Mr Florenca, the naughty creators of Vaudeville and Renegade Bingo.

What more can be said about these phenomenal bands and their plight to help raise funds and support the chosen five local social enterprises? Help them make a difference at 5 For Change 2015 and purchase a ticket at www.5ForChange.co.za.
