The Hartenberg Auction Shiraz 2009 is the 10th Hartenberg Shiraz vintage to be included in the Cape Winemakers Guild Auction line-up and made its auction debut last year. It is a worthy successor to the iconic Hartenberg flagship, Gravel Hill Shiraz, which until the 2004 vintage had been produced exclusively for the auction.
The Hartenberg Loam Hill Merlot 2009 is a single vineyard wine and is one of only two Merlots in the Guild Auction line-up this year.

Simonsig creativity
Simonsig cellarmaster Johan Malan is showcasing his creative edge with two contrasting wines, the new Heirloom Shiraz 2010 and the third vintage of the Cuvée Chêne Blanc de Blancs, 2007.
The Shiraz is one of eight Shiraz wines on auction this year, whilst the Cuvée Chêne Blanc de Blancs will be competing with only one other Méthode Cap Classique.
