W&RSETA Goods Practice Awards acknowledges South Africa's best
Guided by Minnie Dlamini, as awards show host, winners not only walked away with an award but also a sense of great pride in their aim to bring forth innovation and excellence amongst fellow entrepreneurs, businesses and students. Each category was presented by a W&RSETA official and a local celebrity including Sophie Ndaba, Jason Goliath, Liesl Laurie, Clint Brink, Refilwe Modiselle, Pearl Modiadie, Proverb, Nakhane Toure, Nambitha Ben-Mazwi, Roxy Burger and Bokang Montjane.
Winners of some of the awards included:
- Women in leadership award - Venessa Chetty (JD Group)
- Special learner (student) award - Mmatau Morekhure (The Smollan Group)
- Non-levy paying companies - Molobela Roadway Tuckshop
- Small companies - Mica Nelspruit
- Large companies - Dischem Pharmacies
- Medium companies - Process Sales
- Super large companies - Woolworths
“We took a different approach this year to give our stakeholders a befitting and glittering event, worthy of their contribution in making skills development a reality in the Wholesale and Retail Sector, which in turn contributes to the growth of our country and making a difference in the lives of South Africans,” said Martha Shingane, marketing and communications manager, W&RSETA.
