Paarl Village gets top tier 1-Plus Engen site

Currently there are 105 1-Plus sites in the country and 1150 service stations overall.

Pierr Roodt, Engen retail marketing manager, says construction was initially held up by heavy rains in November and works have otherwise been challenging, due to the sloped topography. He says the new landmark is the first 1-Plus in Paarl, as well as the town's first Woolworths.

Paarl is a large town with high-LSM demographics just crying out for the 1-Plus value proposition. As the site looks ahead to offering residents compelling value and convenience, it is assured of sustained supply of high volumes of fuel and in-store stock, including Woolworths' inventory, he adds.

"As Engen rolls out more 1-Plus stores to more remote big towns, we will have the supply chain solutions in place to address the challenges of distance," he concludes.
