Fresh produce wholesaler opens in Boksberg
Fruit & Veg City celebrated the grand opening of its 1400sqm wholesale store located in Boksburg, on the East Rand of Gauteng, yesterday, 10 June 2010.
Specialising in supplying fruit, vegetables and meat in bulk quantities, this Market store targets individual customers, as well as bulk buyers including small retailers, restaurants and, most importantly, Gauteng's booming hospitality industry as a result of the influx of tourists and soccer revellers.
"The launch of our Market store is an extension of our brand promise to customers - the best produce at the lowest price by using the most cost effective distribution channel to the stores and passing this value on to the consumer - no matter how big or small their quantities might be," said Brian Coppin, co-founder and managing director of Fruit & Veg City.

Customers can enjoy the convenience of the food preparation section, where skilled staff cut and package fresh produce according to customers' needs. The butchery is one of the store's most prominent features where expert blockmen will be available to prepare cuts of A-grade meat according to customers' specifications.
Other features include a frozen seafood section, an international cheese and deli counter, a biltong bar, an assortment of essential groceries as well as Fruit & Veg City's popular range of dried fruit and nuts.
Fruit & Veg City Market is situated at the corner of Main Reef and Turf Roads, Anderbolt, Boksburg. Operating hours are Mondays-Fridays from 8am - 5.30pm, Saturdays from 8am - 5.30pm, Sundays and public holidays from 8am - 12.30pm.
