Nampak in international awards final

The 2010 FTA (Flexographic Technical Association) International Awards has given Nampak Flexible, two award nominations for its Imana Chicken Noodle soup and Imana Cream of Vegetable soup packs. Judging took place 24-26 January 2010 in New York, where all entries were judged strictly on technical achievement, by concealing the manufacturer's brand through coding.
Following the nominations, the award winners will be formally announced during the president's awards reception on 2 May in Las Vegas Nevada.
The FTA is one of the leading worldwide authorities in the flexographic printing industry and its annual international awards competition is a high profile indicator of the finest international players in flexographic printing. As such, the two award nominations serve as testament to Nampak's focus on innovation, quality and technical excellence in flexographic printing.
The packs have already won a gold and silver medal respectively at 2009's local FTASA (Flexographic Technical Association of South Africa) Awards, thus automatically entering the international round of the competition.
According to Nampak Flexible sales director, Clinton Farndell, the award nominations are a clear indication that the company is winning in its pursuit of world-class ability and is proud and excited about receiving these nominations.
