Securex Cape Town will build on Sandton success

The very successful Securex 2007 that took place recently in Sandton saw 5750 visitors to the exhibition showcasing the very latest in CCTV cameras, hi-tech security doors and protective clothing to police monitoring systems and security risk management solutions.

"We were once again pleased with this year's show from the number of visitors we received to the ground-breaking displays that our exhibitors created," commented Dev Naidoo, Director of Exhibitions for Africa - organisers of Securex, the principal business-to-business exhibition for this segment of the industry and is therefore a leading brand.

Many of the exhibitors at Securex echoed Naidoo's comments. Lisa Lewis, Geotab, a company specialising in fleet management and vehicle tracking, said that their "Go Patrol", a simple handset that allows for GPS positioning of high-risk personnel on a continuous basis, was very well received. Similarly, CMT Trading had an excellent show, as did Panasonic.

However it was not only exhibitors who had positive comments about the success of Securex 2007, visitors did as well...

"The exhibition was an excellent source of information. It was great to have all the different security equipment here under one roof so we could compare prices and quality,” said Mlungisi Wambi.

The show now moves to the Western Cape where Securex Cape Town 2007 runs from 26-28 September at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
