Obikwa doesn't bury its charm
Currently available in 43 countries and one of the biggest South African wine brands in Canada and Australia, Obikwa wines have launched two new single varietal wines in the home market.
The Distell brand entered the local market last year with its bright yellow ostrich on the label. The Chardonnay 2009 is an easy drinking wine to accompany starters and chicken dishes. The Cabernet Sauvignon, also from the 2009 vintage, is full-bodied and teems with prunes and cherries with hints of delicate oak spices and firm tannins.
Both are priced at around R23 in stores country-wide.
