Zeder currently owns approximately 35.05% and Rootstock approximately 2.24% of the ordinary shares in KWV Holdings. In terms of its shareholding, Zeder is obliged to make a mandatory offer to KWV shareholders.
KWV Holdings Board said it had not yet considered the merits of the offer, and have accordingly not formed any opinion in this regard.
"The KWV Holdings Board will appoint independent advisors to advise on whether the terms and conditions of the Offer are fair to the KWV Holdings Shareholders," it said.
