Miss FTV Africa 2009: Casting dates announced

Press, media and celebrities made their way to the official launch party of Miss FTV Africa 2008 on 3 December 2008.

On the 18th April 2009, two powerful brands - one gaming and entertainment leader the other a glamour icon around the world - will come together to deliver a show unlike anything South African fashionistas have ever seen before.

Aspiring African fashionistas will have the chance to join the global hunt for the world's most esteemed runway title, but before they do they will have to make it through the casting process, and that kicks off in January.

Casting Dates for Miss FTV Africa 2009:

24 January 2009 Café Vacca Matta Suncoast Casino
31 January 2009 Fashion TV Cedar Square
6 February 2009 Fashion TV Irene Village Mall
7 February 2009 Fashion TV Cape Town

Who can apply?

• All models at agencies and potential models
• Models should be between 16 and 25 years old
• Models should be taller than 1.70m
• Models should weigh between 45 and 59kg
• Models should speak English fluently. Another language will be helpful
• Models should be in possession of a valid ID and Passport

Entrants should bring the following to the castings:

• Complete the entry form online or at the casting venue on the day of the casting
• Models MUST provide us with one full-length picture in a swimsuit and one head-and-shoulders picture
• Entrants must please bring along swimwear as well as a cocktail dress

Prizes:

Miss FTV Africa will win prizes to the value of R500000 and more
The winner of Miss FTV Africa 2009 will compete in the international leg of the competition during 2009
