The estate took top honours out of 380 contenders that were recognised as exceptionally drinkable and well priced wines for the latest edition of South Africa's most definitive wine directory.
Publisher of the Guide, Andrew McDowall, elaborates: “Each year our tasters identify a number of entry-level wines which are exceptionally drinkable and well priced. The best of these go into a second round of tasting to select the year's ultimate easy drinkers, and this time Simonsig's delightful Chenin Blanc 2007 headed the list.”
