The brand was inspired by Desiderius Pongrácz, fondly known to his friends and colleagues as ‘Pongy', who was a nobleman and refugee from Hungary who through his innovation and passion changed the art of viticulture at the Cape by introducing premium grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Sauvignon blanc and Pinot noir.
These limited edition gift boxes are available at fine wine shops. The 1.5 litre tin tube retails for about R160.00 and the 750ml bottle and two glasses for R135.
