Odette Roper has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Association for Communication and Advertising (ACA).
ACA chairman, Reinher Behrens made the announcement yesterday. Roper takes over from Zandile Nzalo who resigned last month to further her business interests.
In making the announcement Behrens said "Roper's previous experience in the communications and marketing industry and international exposure will be of immense benefit to the ACA."
Roper was previously head of the advertising, events and sponsorship department of. She has also worked for African Technology Holdings, South African Post Office Limited, Siemens, BP South Africa and Rentworks, holding managerial positions in marketing, business development and strategy.
"During my career, I have been fortunate to gain all-round experience across the various spheres of the marketing, advertising and communications industries - from agency to client, private sector and government. The knowledge and experience I gained over the years places me in unique position to add value to the ACA by leading it in its continued efforts to remain relevant to its members and the industry," Roper said.
