CNBC Africa interviews Rwandan president on 'Africa Rising'
In just over a decade, president Paul Kagame has reportedly transformed Rwanda into Africa's third most competitive economy. Rwanda is now one of Africa's fastest growing economies, rising from the ashes of the continent's first genocide. The former soldier has been credited with rebuilding Rwanda's economy by promoting peace and reconciliation, pushing women empowerment and building the information, communication and technology industry, which are one of the country's key industries since the 1994 genocide.
"The story of Rwanda is a demonstration of a nation overcoming diversity - hence CNBC Africa will be able to tell these stories on the ground from Kigali this November. Rwanda Bureau forms part of the channel's roll on the continent. We are excited to be adding 'Rwandan Business' on the channel," said Ali Naka.
