Koos de la Rey acquires Riviera on Vaal Resort
Koos de la Rey has acquired Riviera on Vaal Resort from Mac van der Merwe Property Trust. The acquisition expands his current investment portfolio in agriculture and residential property into hospitality.
De la Rey intends on reviving the property for the next 18 months but will keep the resort open throughout the renovation process. The Resort will offer accommodation, hospitality services for weddings and events, a restaurant, spa, and golf course. Some of the leisure activities will include picnics on the banks of the Vaal river and boat cruises.
