Small operators can take on big gorillas

Big companies hold many of the cards, but not all of them. Aki Kalliatakis reckons small concerns can take on the big boys, and succeed...but, as he puts it, perhaps the big gorilla doesn't always get to sit where he wants to.

On the fuel franchising front, John Harvey describes how independent petrol retailers are making impressive gains across Africa and are presenting a challenge to franchise operators for oil giants, and finally, it seems the market likes Ellerine's latest move.

Shan Radcliffe, Group Head - Retail (@Biz_Retail)
