      Lead Creative Strategist

Remuneration:$2000 - $3000 per month to be discussed
      Location:United Kingdom, London
      Remote work:Only remote work
      Type:Contract
      Company:Penang Media

      Job description

As Lead Creative Strategist, you’ll own creative strategy for our DTC clients’ Meta (Facebook/Instagram) campaigns: the ideas, the testing, and the direction the creative team works to. You’ll turn creative performance data into the next batch of ads and be accountable for producing ads that win. This is a full-time, remote role offering a competitive salary and bonus scheme.

      Key responsibilities:
      • Lead and direct the creative team (designers, editors, creators): set the brief, review the output, and hold the standard.
      • Develop direct response creative strategies for Meta, aligned with each client’s goals and category.
      • Plan, script, and brief creative across UGC, video, motion, and static formats.
      • Run our creative testing and feedback process (ideas, hooks, formats): work within it, refine it, and improve it where it falls short.
      • Analyse creative performance data and turn it into what we make next.
      • Present creative plans to clients and respond to their feedback with clear rationale.
      • Research what’s working in paid social across categories and bring it back to the team. This is a compulsory deliverable of the role, not a nice-to-have.
      • Use AI tools as heavy leverage across ideation, scripting, and copy, while making sure nothing we ship sounds like AI.
      • Manage multiple clients and deadlines without needing to be chased.
      Location and hours:
      • Remote. Competitive salary + bonus scheme.
      • If this sounds like you, send your cover letter and tell us why you’re the right fit.
      About Penang Media:

Penang Media is a London-based performance marketing agency for DTC brands. We run paid social for a focused mix of clients across footwear, supplements, and wellness, selling into the UK, EU, US, and Australia. You won’t be working blind: Pulse, our in-house platform, puts unified store and ad data in front of you alongside a competitor ad research library, and each client has a brand wiki of pain points, claims, and customer reviews ready to pull from. We build tooling, AI included, so the team spends its time finding ads that win rather than hunting for inputs. Most people doing this job at other agencies don’t have that.

      Skills and experience
      • 3+ years in paid social creative strategy or direct response creative for DTC brands (agency experience preferred).
      • Proven track record of ads that performed, ideally beyond fashion (supplements, health, consumables, or other harder-to-sell categories).
      • Strong analytical skills and hands-on experience reading creative-level performance in Meta Ads Manager (TikTok a plus).
      • Solid understanding of performance marketing and DTC advertising.
      • Sharp eye for good vs bad copywriting. Whether you write it yourself or an AI drafts it, you’re accountable for the end result: it has to sound human and it has to convert.
      • Fluent with AI tools and motivated to push what they can do.
      • Confident client-facing: comfortable presenting and defending creative decisions.
      • Excellent written and spoken English.
