Job description
Key responsibilities (but not limited to):Filling and packaging
- Feed bottles, jars, tubes, and other containers into filling lines.
- Fit caps, pumps, droppers, and lids correctly.
- Inspect filled products for leaks, damage, or defects.
- Apply labels accurately and verify correct batch numbers and expiry dates.
- Pack finished products into cartons and shipping boxes according to specifications.
- Palletize finished goods for storage or dispatch.
- Assist with weighing and preparing raw materials as instructed.
- Transport raw materials and packaging components to production areas.
- Assist operators during mixing and manufacturing processes.
- Clean and prepare mixing vessels, utensils, and equipment before and after use.
- Ensure workstations are organized and free of contamination.
- Perform visual inspections of products and packaging components.
- Remove defective products from the production line.
- Report quality issues immediately to the supervisor.
- Follow all quality control instructions and in-process inspection procedures.
- Help prevent product mix-ups and cross-contamination.
- Maintain clean production and storage areas.
- Complete production records accurately where required.
- Sign attendance, cleaning, and production checklists.
- Record production quantities when requested.
- Report any deviations or equipment problems to the supervisor.
Requirements
Minimum requirements- Grade 12 (matric)
- Previous experience in manufacturing is advantageous
