Talking the Walk: Staphcor adopts a creative brand name
As of today, 15th September 2004, Staphcor Recruitment Services has a new and truer identity: CREATIVE PLANET.
Recruiting key employees for many satisfied clients since 1999, Staphcor Recruitment has built a solid reputation in the South African marketing industry. But recruitment alone does not fully reflect the agency's creative assets.
Years of responding to client briefs has taught company founder: Yolanda Gibbon, a thing or two about Brand identity. According to Gibbon, "I began to feel that Staphcor as a name did not identify what the company does or in which arena we operate. Obviously we have built up a reputation and clients who know us understand what we deliver. But quite often it takes a while before new clients understand w hat differentiates us. In short, we wanted a name that was a 'brief' in itself - that clearly describes how we work and who we work with. We wanted to 'talk our walk'"
What differentiates Creative Planet from other recruitment agencies is its inhouse creative training skills. "We are the only recruitment agency in the marketing industry that tests candidates on Apple Mac to assess their graphic design and repro skills. We also test efficiency indicators such as scanning, deep-etching and colour retouching ability," adds Gibbon.
An often overlooked component of the Recruitment company is its Training Division, which trains employees and private individuals on Freehand, Quark & Photoshop.
