NAMC appoints Zama Xalisa as acting CEO
Zama Xalisa has been appointed as acting CEO for the National Agricultural Marketing Council, after Ronald Ramabulana's tenure as CEO drew to a close on 28 April 2017.
Xalisa joined the NAMC in 2009 as an agricultural trust senior manager where he represented the minister of agriculture, forestry and fisheries in 11 agricultural industry trusts, which included the Maize Trust, Mohair Trust, Citrus Trust, and played a crucial role in the establishment of the Grain Farmers Development Trust, which advocates for the development of grain black farmers.
