Who are we: A well-established commercial media business with a strong presence in broadcasting and digital media.

Who are we looking for: An experienced News Reporter/Anchor with strong reporting, writing and interviewing skills, a passion for current affairs, and at least 4 years’ broadcast newsroom experience.

What will you do:

• Excellent writing, reporting, interviewing and field-reporting skills
• The ability to rapidly claim a space on air as a credible source of information for our listeners
• Reading of news bulletins
• The ability to engage in dialogue with the on-air personalities about the issues of the day
• A passion for current affairs
• A passion for the craft of journalism
• The ability to be flexible about daily working times
• A commitment to the highest standards of journalistic ethics and accuracy above all other considerations

What will you need:

• National diploma or equivalent in journalism or a directly related field
• At least 4 years of experience in a broadcast newsroom
• Excellent proficiency in the English language
• Candidates without the academic qualification, but significant relevant experience and proven skills may be considered
• A valid driver’s license
• Your own reliable transport
• Multimedia news experience will be advantageous
• A positive attitude and a commitment to excellence

Preferred:

• Proficiency in radio news software (NewsBoss)
• Online and social media reporting experience

Ability to start as soon as possible
