Ethiopian Airlines, Zambian government join forces for Zambia Airways re-launch
Ethiopian Airlines and the government of Zambia have partnered together to re-launch Zambia Airways and to establish Lusaka as an aviation hub for Southern Africa.
The partnership was completed after a shareholder agreement between the airline and the Zambian government. Ethiopian Airlines will have 45% stakes in the airline whilst the government of Zambia will be the majority shareholder with 55%.
The re-launch forms part of the airline's overarching strategy of establishing multiple hubs in Africa.
