WEF report: SA bottom of the class in maths, science
When it comes to the quality of maths and science education, South Africa is bottom of the class, according to a World Economic Forum report. The comprehensive report ranks 148 economies across a number of categories. In some SA ranks reasonably well, but the quality of our educational system ranks 146 out of 148 - only Yemen and Libya bring worse - and in terms of the quality of our education in maths and science we are last... 148 out of 148.
