The Argus Fertilizer Africa Conference, hosted by Omnia Holdings, took place from 10 to 12 February 2025 at the Westin Cape Town Hotel. The event brought together key industry stakeholders to discuss topics impacting Africa’s agricultural industry, food security, trade disruptions, and the evolving role of fertilisers in climate change.
A key session was the panel discussion on food security, which highlighted Africa as a significant centre for food security research and development.
Facilitated by Tshepo Morokong (deputy director of Macro and Resource Economics at the Western Cape Department of Agriculture), the panel featured Seelan Gobalsamy (CEO at Omnia Holdings), Julian Palliam (CEO and president at Foskor), Habiba Mouttaki (chief commercial officer at OCP Africa), and Niren Murugan (COO at ETG Africa).
