TBWA\Helsinki's latest ad campaign for Nissan Nordic Europe pokes fun at Finnish commuters' extended need for personal space at bus stops. The campaign images are inspired by the internet meme in which Finnish commuters are seen standing at regular intervals avoiding all interaction.
Nissan's Nordic Europe division uses the bus stop scenes to highlight their automatic distance control that regulates safety distance on the road.
The latest instalment of the IAB Insight Series - centred on digital influencer marketing - was held at the Kantar offices in Cape Town.

Advertising billboards across Johannesburg have been hit by an unknown graffiti vandal. Billboards in Fourways, Bryanston, Midrand, Rosebank, Hyde Park and at the Sandton Police Station have all been vandalised with the words 'ha ha ha' in red capital letters.
It's unclear who the vandal is, but it'll be interesting to see who this Joker is.
*Update*: Well, it turns out the graffiti vandal was in fact Ster-Kinekor. It forms part of the cinema chain's campaign for the Joker film....
TBWA\ recently hosted its annual Africa Conference which attracts industry leaders from its agencies across the continent. The TBWA\ African collective comprises of 47 offices in 28 markets, who gathered under the theme of #DISRUPT to share insights on techniques and trends, including strategic collaboration, to explore creativity as a growth engine and to analyse innovative approaches in disciplines such as 4IR and technology in Africa.

The 24th Pendoring Indigenous Advertising Awards was held at the University of Johannesburg (UJ) Arts Centre on 31 October 2019. The annual awards celebrate creativity in the indigenous languages of South Africa.
TBWA/Hunt Lascaris received the Umpetha Award for 'The Real Cost of Being Zulu' radio campaign for City Lodge Hotels. North-West University was the overall student winner for 'Mengelmoes'.
