Nando's is planning a stir at this year's Loeries by singling out some of the movers and shakers in the ad world to get the old rivalry and gees going.

At the Saturday night ceremony hosted by the SABC, a total of 95 awards were handed out, with two being Grands Prix, eight Gold and five Craft Gold.

Two Grands Prix marked the opening of the 31st Annual Loerie Awards Festival tonight, Friday, 25 September 2009, held for the very first time in Cape Town at the Good Hope Centre: FoxP2 for its Achitecture and Interior Design entry, ‘FoxP2 Offices' and TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris Johannesburg's Advertising Poster Campaign, ‘Cheaper Than Money', for The Zimbabwean.

The infamous Velocity Party defied the wet weather in Cape Town and ensured all attending had a whale of a time.

Red Huxley are voted best band and at the Assembly on the Thursday the 24 September for the Loerie Battle of the Bands.
