AfricaCom was launched on Wednesday, 12 July, at an informal, but intimate function held in Rosebank, Johannesburg, South Africa. McDonald's recently opened its 250th store in partnership with one of its franchisees, Peter Moyanga, who also celebrated the opening of his ninth store. Moyanga was one of the very first McDonald's employees in South Africa, and is today, one of the company's 40 franchisees, building his business mainly in his hometown in the East Rand of Johannesburg, with expansion into the Gauteng and Mpumalanga provinces....

The Knysna fires, which began raging on 7 June 2017, saw families left destitute. Through a joint partnership between DHL Supply Chain, DHL Global Forwarding and DHL Express, 15 superlink trucks became available to transport stock, which included blankets and other items donated from various corners of the country, from Gauteng to both Knysna and Cape Town.
