Vodacom wins innovation award

Vodacom has been awarded the 2015 Innocentrix Innovation League Award, which determines the extent to which South African companies are applying leading-edge thinking in collaborative innovation. The awards are based on the outcome of the Innovation League Survey.

Run over six months the survey measures companies across four main pillars:

Leadership and ambition;

Organisation and collaboration;

People and culture;

Implementation and measurement.

Vodacom scored highly across all four pillars and stood out in terms of excellence in Leadership and ambition.

In addition, Vodacom's Executive Head of Innovation, Jannie van Zyl, was the first runner-up in the 2015 Innolive Corporate Entrepreneur Award. Van Zyl was praised for his ability to create "an environment in which it is safe to innovate, no matter where you reside in the organisation".
