Kyalami Rack Track to be auctioned on Thursday

Will it remain a track or will it be bulldozed? This is the question on many racing enthusiasts' lips as Kyalami Race Track goes under the hammer on Thursday.

This week, the South Gauteng High Court gave the green light for the auction to take place after 11 applicants, who contended they had rights to the track, applied to have the auction halted.

The track's holding company, Farm Bothasfontein, was liquidated earlier this year.

The auction will be the biggest 'no reserve' sale held by High Street Auctions.
