FoodBank encourages SA to honour Madiba by packing hampers for the hungry

FoodBank SA's patron, Bryan Habana, encourages people to donate their time to packing food hampers on Mandela Day in support of FoodBank's quest against hunger in the country. A shocking and tragic 11 million South Africans are food insecure.

Helping those in dire need

Hamper Packing enables corporate teams to purchase groceries from lists supplied by FoodBank SA and pack food hampers to be given to organisations serving those in need.

Corporates have the option of packing hampers at their offices or at external venues.

FoodBank SA supplies food to more than 1000 non-profit and community-based organisations throughout South Africa, including crèches, schools in impoverished areas and care facilities.
