Telkom seeks to make its SA businesses work
Business Day reports that while Telkom's mobile operations 8.ta had cost the company about R2 billion and its fixed-line market was shrinking, Telkom is now considering buying companies in the information and communications technology arena to bolster its operations.
Telkom chief executive Nombulelo Moholi announced that the company's profits dropped by 36% for the six months to September, as analysts had predicted. Moholi says it is imperative that Telkom moves into select adjacent markets to grow revenue streams.
