FundiConnect teams up with Online Career Guidance
Online student platform, FundiConnect, is on a mission to help students in South Africa receive all the information they need to make the right career choice from the start.
In line with helping students get a head start in life comes FundiConnect’s partnership with Online Career Guidance. As stated on the Online Career Guidance website, the service strives to ensure that learners and students “follow a career path that is best suited to their particular career orientation.”
In achieving this goal, Online Career Guidance offers students a detailed assessment that takes roughly 35 minutes to complete. Upon completion, a report outlining suitable career options and tertiary qualifications is generated and sent to the participant via email.
Online Career Guidance has adapted an online model, which is great for students who need that sense of privacy when making a personal decision that could be detrimental to their career.
“When it comes to facing their future career paths, students often struggle to make the right decision. Many chop and change subjects in the hopes of finding something better, or that they’ll be more passionate about,” says James Kieser, Product Owner at FundiConnect.
“With the convenience of offering students career guidance online, we hope to close that gap by giving them the opportunity to get the career guidance they need from the word go.”
Along with convenience, the new partnership with FundiConnect will give students the added benefit of receiving a 15% discount for this service. Instead of paying R350 for the comprehensive services offered by Online Career Guidance, students will only have to pay R297,50.
This fee covers the costs of a detailed career assessment, followed by a comprehensive report and unlimited resources in relation to each individual's suggested career path.
To register for the assessment provided by Online Career Guidance, all students have to do is:
- Find the discount code
- Select ‘Take short assessment’
- Click on ‘Register’ at the top right corner of the page
- Register an account and purchase your assessment with the discount code
