Aside from assisting both primary and middle school children looking for high schools, it is also designed to help prospective students and high school kids with the necessary tools to succeed in high school and tertiary education and beyond.
The High School Career Expo provides a showcase for both the private and government school sector. All primary, middle and high school kids and parents can learn more about the public and private high schools including special programs, extracurricular activities and admissions criteria.
Prospective students will be able to meet with representatives at the expo from a wide range of universities, technikons, FET colleges and other tertiary institutions, to determine which school and program best meets their needs.They will also gain insight and career advice from leading field specialists to better understand the expectations and roles of their potential professions.
The Student Expo aims to feed students with valuable knowledge to make educated decisions regarding their future through discussions and presentations. Prospective students can also learn how to secure student loans. They will get advice on how to manage finances when living away from home, should they take a gap year or not, as well as share information with other school leavers and parents.
