Celebrating women at The Queens Picnic

The Queens Picnic, presented by Kwela Tebza, is an all-day celebration of women taking place at James Ethel and Gray Park in Johannesburg on Saturday 27 August.

Over 25 female singers, dancers and DJs will grace the stage. The Queen hitmaker, DJ Zinhle will be on the decks as will the first lady of Durban house, DJ Cndo while SA favourites Khanyi Mbau and Chomee will be live and direct.

Other DJs include Ambitiouz Entertainment’s own Miss Pru and radio personalities, Lerato Kganyago, Poppy Ntshongwana and Ms Cosmo.

Current IT girl, Babes Wodumo, will hit the stage with her electrifying dance moves while the legendary Thembi Seete blazes the stage.

Multi-award-winning hip-hop artist, Fifi Cooper plans to shake things up. Nadia Nakai, who is the sexy first lady of Cassper Nyovest’s Family Tree company will be doing her thing as well as rap newcomer, Lil Red. Skanda queen Moozlie will take to the stage while the award-winning Gigi Lamayne plans to make the stage Shisa.

Representing all the R&B and house songstresses is Bucie. She won’t be the only one belting out tunes. Expect to see the veteran, Tamara Dey and the Kalawa Chikita herself, Busiswa.

The Iine-up also includes Durban’s own Ntando Duma and Nomzamo Mbatha alongside Huddah Monroe and Denise Zimba.

The first annual Queens Picnic plans to honor SA’s finest female talent at one huge gathering’ says Kwela Tebza frontman Tebogo Lerole, ‘We are here to celebrate our queens and all things female. Everyone is welcome’.
